A Seattle, Washington native, Kurtti has worked for Walt Disney Imagineering, the theme park design division of The Walt Disney Company, and then for the Corporate Special Projects department of Disney. Since 1995 he has enjoyed a career as an author, writer, and consultant in the motion picture, theatre, and themed-entertainment industries.John Lasseter is a two-time Academy Award-winning director and the chief creative officer at Pixar and Walt Disney Animation Studios.Byron Howard, co-director of Tangled, joined the Walt Disney Animation Studios in 1994 and has served as an animator, character designer, and supervising animator for such classic films as Mulan and Lilo & Stitch. He directed Bolt with Chris Williams and later served as an executive producer on the acclaimed 2009 short Super Rhino.Nathan Greno, co-director of Tangled, joined the Walt Disney Animation Studios in 1996. He served over a decade in the Story Department, and was story supervisor on the film Bolt. Greno wrote and directed the acclaimed 2009 short Super Rhino.

Ich bin ein riesengroßer Fan von Disneys Rapunzel Version und dieses Artbook macht diesen wunderbaren Animationsfilm um einiges schöner! Man erfährt viele Hintergrundinformationen zu den einzelnen Hauptcharakteren, reich bebildert mit Skizzen vom Meisterzeichner Glen Keane und anderen großartigen Zeichnern. Tangled ist zwar ein CGI Animationsfilm, aber trotzdem gab es wie bei jedem anderen davor handgezeichneten Disneyfilm in der Entwicklungsphase Skizzen, Entwürfe, die zuerst mit Stift und Pinsel erschaffen wurden.Also einfach reinblättern und träumen! Sehr empfehlenswert!
Ich bin ein riesen Fan von Rapunzel, daher musste ich mir einfach dieses Buch holen. "Art of.."-Bücher finde ich sowieso schon interessant, da ich mich auch sehr für Concept Arts etc interessiere. Bei dem Buch wurde ich nicht enttäuscht.Zu jedem Charakter gibt es Concept Arts, sowieso schöne Illustrationen der Zeichner/innen. Ein wirkliches Muss für jeden Disney Liebhaber.Die Entwickler haben noch ein paar Kommentare zu den jeweiligen Zeichnungen geschrieben (alles in englisch), es gibt also auch einiges zu lesen.Im großen & ganzen ein fantastisches Buch! :)
Wunderschönes Buch über die Vorarbeiten und die Konzeptzechnungen zu "Tangled".Faszinierend wieviel 2D Arbeit auch noch in einen 3D Film fliessen.Die tollen Gesichtsstudien von Glen Keane und den anderen excellenten Animationszeichnern erklären dann auch dasüberragende Niveau der Gesichtsanimation in "Tangled".
Tolles Buch mit vielen Originalzeichnungen und Hintergrundfakten.Besonders gut gefällt mir wie hochwertig es gedruckt ist.Ist auf jeden Fall sehr interessant und man erfährt sehr viel warum und wieso etwas so in dem Film gemacht wurde.

schöne Einblicke hinter den fertigen Film. Viel Bildmaterial, Zeichnungen und Scribble die Einblick in die Gedankenwelt der Illustratoren und Animatoren von Pixar gibt. Ich liebe das Conzept Art auch teilweise mehr als die Filme :)
«The Art of Tangled» ist ein optisch ansprechend zusammengestelltes Buch und eine Augenweide für jeden Animations- und/oder Disney- Fan.Beindruckende Skizzen und Entwürfe auf dem Weg zum Film wirken inspirierend und motivierend zugleich.Dieses Buch hat einen besondern Platz in meinem Büchergestell und ist neben «The Incredibles» und «Monster AG» eines der schönsten Making of Bücher in welches ich immer wieder gerne einen Blick reinwerfen werde.Das Buch ist sein Geld wert.
Sehr schön gestalltetes Artbook mit einer Menge Bildern, Skizzen etc... Für jeden der Zeichnungen etc mag oder den Film gut findet ein muss!! Unschlagbar für den Preis! Habe es nicht bereut!
